Mary`s Diner in Port Elgin

Haven't been much but it is always good. They gave my daughter a free soft serve ice cream, she was so excited

Service at drive thru was super long and the wait was painful. We have tried this place twice before but this was our last

Why aren't there more of these in the world?! The mix of fast food and restaurant (server) style is genius! Serve your own coffee so you never have to wait around for it. Neat vibe. The food is so good!! Especially the skillets! The biggest problem is I always want to eat everything off the menu.

One of the nicer Mary browns I have been in. Service was quick and the cashier brought our food around the counter to us and made sure to double check our order. Everything was hot and fresh.

The food was about average, but the customer service was great. After some errors were made in the order, the staff corrected it and went above and beyond.

Tasty, juicy and fresh chicken! A little bit greasy than before but still as good!

High price, wedges had no flavour, Qualität of the potatoes was low, some had a bad taste to them, the place was renovated at a low quality level, paint smeered on the wall, staff was chatting with guest at their table in very loud manor, disturbing others. No competition to Wendie's.

While on road trips, my wife insists we stop at every Mary Browns we find. This was just such an occasion. Delicious food, tasty and fast service.

My guy just loves Mary Brown's Chicken. Not greasy! Go their everytime we are in Port Elgin.

Great food and services. We ordered 4 chickens but 2 of those are really small compared to the rest. Need to pay the food + tip upfront. Take out menu are cheaper. Might save some bucks for take out.

The girl behind the counter was confused by what we wanted. Maybe her first day but 2 of our friends got a different meal then what they ordered. We had to ask for our apple pies that came with our meal. We all paid separately and they put all 5 apple pies in one box. We met for lunch and were all going seperate ways so we asked them for seperate boxes and it seemed like such a bother. Just not a good inhouse experience. It was lunch time and there was Not many people there and I can maybe see why. Unorganized to say the least. Had take out last week and it was all great so I think it will only be take out from now on. 😗

Came by on Canada day to grab lunch. Fast turnaround and great service, they weren't busy when I visited so my freshly prepared meal was delivered to my table within minutes of ordering. Thanks again!

Big Mary sandwich was very good. Tender chicken and pleasant staff. If you like chrispy chicken sandwich this one is good.

It had been years since I had Mary Brown's chicken. It was just as tasty as I remembered. Very quick, friendly service.

Plates weren't provided. Food was on par with KFC. To be fair the staff seemed overwhelmed with the amount of customers and the manager was ripping into them big time. Good price.

We were beyond pleased with the food, service and cleanliness! The owner is fabulous and being served our food at the table showed their customer love! This is a must stop when in town! Love from your London customers.

Friendly staff, fresh chicken! Clean restaurant.. out of napkins out front and no med coleslaw(subbed 2 sm) but otherwise great!

Waited over 30 mins for order. That was ok because it was busy. Got out to truck and realized I forgot to order gravy. Went back in and was told I would need to wait up to 30 min or more for the gravy because I would be placed in line.

the potatos were salty my sandwich was almost too spicy to the point it had no other flavour and the other sandwhich had no flavour. menu board was broken. not in a rush to go back

It was our first time at a Mary Brown's and we were pleasantly surprised. Very clean facilities, scrumptious juicy chicken and the fires were not too bad either. I will definitely go again.

The food is absolutely amazing! But the people here are really slow. And I mean VERY SLOW. Amazing food still!

Food was great!Not so happy with the staff. Only one wearing a mask (during COVID 19) was the young lady on the cash register . All the men (3) with beards were wearing beard nets and one was play with his nose. 4 customers... ALL wearing their masks, just like the sign asked. 🤔

Sitting in the drive through and changed hours of service posted at the order board refused a 13 piece order from me and two vehicles behind me were not very happy either. We heard some words being said.

Food was good, very friendly service. Dining room was very clean as well.

Crazy slow!! Waited in the drive through for several minutes before they even took my order, then again for close to 5 minutes before the food was ready. And then it was warm, not hot. Service was friendly.

Its good chicken. Nothing to spectacular tho. The taters were the high light for me.

Although this is a unique location with good “taters” the service was lacking and our order was messed up twice. This was during there breakfast time and there were very few people there for our order to be confused. This was an experience I had last year however and the service has hopefully improved since then.

My family and I really love the food here, and I order from here (often to go)on a fairly regular basis. However almost half the time I order theres something missing or messed up. I have tried the drive through vs going in and same thing. Again, nothing against the food but I'm pretty tired of having to double check every order. Happened again today, and this time 2 parts of my order were missing. I went back in and got one corrected but didnt realize there was a second item missing until I got home. Very frusterating.
